Frankly the news story below is a fairly constant pattern in my practice with out of state folks who stand out in manner and behavior moving into small towns or even small cities in Maine. They usually last about a wek before the cops catch on. Given that Maine is about 99% minorities stand out even more.

OAKLAND — Police arrested two men originally from Long Island, N.Y., at a house at 26 Deer Run Tuesday afternoon on charges of illegal drug trafficking. Officers had a search warrant, but said they got lucky. When they arrived they interrupted an Oxycontin deal in the driveway, according to Oakland Police Detective Sgt. Rick Stubbert. “Deer Run is a nice, quiet neighborhood, and these guys stood out, with all the people coming and going,” Stubbert said. Jermaine Seawright, 26, is charged with trafficking in illegal drugs (marijuana) and possession of cocaine. Vincent J. Tiltz, 24, is charged with trafficking in illegal drugs (Oxycontin), possession of marijuana and failure to submit to arrest. The two are each out on $1,500 unsecured bail.
